Keanu Reeves

If not for an uneventful hockey injury back in the 1980s, then we would forever be robbed of the chance to see John Wick avenging the death of his adorable puppy! It’s also unfathomable to imagine how The Matrix would have gone if Keanu pursued his dreams of being a hockey star. Yup, you read that right—Keanu used to excel more in hockey than academics, probably because he was diagnosed with dyslexia. After being injured, he stopped pursuing a degree and worked as an actor.

The hockey player turned actor was first noticed for his role in River’s Edge; his subsequent roles in the comedy film Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure brought him even more attention. Reeves’ versatile acting got him roles in the well-known sci-fi blockbuster The Matrix. His debut as a director was in 2013 in the movie Man of Tai Chi.
