Sean Penn
Sean Penn has been perhaps one of the most vocal and talented actors in the industry. He first gained attention in the mid-80s and early-90s for his appearances in At Close Range, Carlito’s Way, and the State of Grace. He then achieved widespread acclaim for his performance in Dead Man Walking, which got him his first Oscar nomination. However, in 2003, Penn finally got the coveted prize, with his performance in Mystic River winning him a Best Actor award. This feat was repeated five years later, with his portrayal of Harvey Milk in Milk takes credit with another Best Actor Award.
Today, Penn has been highly successful as an actor. However, his engagement in political and social activism has defined his profile in recent years. He made headlines in 2016 when he interview notorious drug lord Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman at his hideout in Mexico.
