Bill Murray
Before he achieved a reputation as a highly successful and talented comedian and actor, Bill Murray made headways in comedy during the 1970s after being recruited by John Belushi to work for National Lampoon. During this time, he first struck gold when he became part of the Saturday Night Live cast in 1977. In his three years for the show, Murray has produced some of the show’s funniest moments and takes regard as one of the most prominent cast members of all time. In the 1980s, he further expanded his acting credits with his frequent collaboration with Harold Ramis. Additionally, this resulted in successful and memorable films such as Caddyshack, Stripes, and Ghostbusters.
Today, Murray has become an icon of comedy in Hollywood with an excellent knack for more dramatic roles. He has been popular in recent times for his frequent collaboration with Wes Anderson, with films like The Royal Tenenbaums, The Darjeeling Limited, and Moonrise Kingdom among the films he appeared in.
