Simon Baker

Australian actor Simon Baker could have never imagined that his career started by accident. He got his first stint in acting while he was waiting for his friend in an audition. He received an offer to audition himself, which he did. More importantly, this spurred him to get acting roles in T.V. series such as E Street, Heartbreak High, and Home and Away. However, it was in America where he struck gold.

Since moving there in the mid-90s, he appeared in successful films and T.V. shows such as L.A. Confidential, The Mentalist, and The Guardian. The Mentalist, in particular, made him famous and rich and is given credit for spurring his career further. Reports say that Baker received $350,000 per episode as of 2010, with an additional $30 million for his role as Patrick Jane. In 2017, he made his maiden voyage in directing with Breath, which was well-received by critics.
