Anthony Hopkins

This year, Sir Anthony Hopkins has written another page in the history book by becoming the oldest person (at 83 years old!) to bag an Academy Award for acting. Quite the contrast to the familiar atmosphere during awards, but it is worth noting that the legendary actor received his second Oscar from the open countryside of Wales where he has been spending his holidays. He has been sharing glimpses of his trip to his hometown in his Instagram account; most notable is his acceptance speech, where he pays tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who passed away last August 2020.

The 1960s was a significant decade for Hopkins, where he became known for starring in The Dawning and The Remains of the Day to Amistad. The actor has nominations for numerous Oscars and takes credit for receiving prestige in The Silence of the Lambs and The Father.
