Barack Obama will forever take credit for being the first African-American president in US history. Today, he is 60 years old, and he remains one of the most influential figures amongst the Democrats. The silver-haired political figure remains a pop icon and will also be releasing a series of recorded conversations with rock legend Bruce Springsteen titled Renegades: Born in the USA.
The Hawaiin native has undoubtedly come a long way from Columbia University days. He is also a lawyer, graduating from Harvard Law School and tenured as the representative of the 13th district of Illinois from 1997 until 2004. Then, he rose to further political stature, becoming a US Senator from Illinois from 2005 until 2008. From there, he would win the Presidency in 2009. Furthermore, months after his inauguration, he was awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
