Award-winning pop diva Mariah Carey has been adored worldwide ever since she first debuted with her now-legendary 1990 self-titled album Mariah Carey. The album’s lead single, Vision of Love, was regarded as one of the best debut singles by a female artist and topped charts in the U.K., New Zealand, and Canada charts. Since then, she has continuously won multiple awards and topped various music charts.

Due to her overwhelming success, the singer has been subject to the media’s eye, especially her love life. After a couple of flings and a short-lived marriage, the diva then met the comedian and future father to her children, Nick Cannon. The pair first met at the Nickelodeon Teen Choice Awards, when Cannon presented her the award for Choice R&B Artist. That catalyzed their eventual marriage, as they maintained a friendship for three years before eventually entering a relationship, resulting in a wedding one month later. They then couple welcomed twins Moroccan Scott and Monroe Cannon to their lives in 2011. Sadly, the marriage was not to last, as they separated in 2016. To their credit, the ex-couple are still close friends and are excellent co-parents to their 10-year-old twins.
